Come explore with Sibyl Star the art and science of evolutionary astrology. Evolutionary astrology assumes the soul is eternal and that we incarnate in a series of lifetimes. Thus, experiences from previous lives have helped create the lessons and challenges as well as gifts and talents of this lifetime. Each of us comes into this life with both evolutionary intentions (dharma) as well as necessities (karma).
Evolutionary astrology is also characterized by the belief that human beings interact creatively and unpredictably with their birth charts. It assumes free will is always present, that we always have choice.
Evolutionary astrology is like a spiral that begins with self-knowledge, which leads to self-understanding, then to self-healing and finally to self-empowerment.
This six week class will explore the signs, planets, houses, aspects between planets and overall patterns of the chart from this evolutionary perspective. The planets represent different aspects of the psyche, the what of the chart, while the signs symbolize the psychological framework, the needs and fears, the attitudes and bias, the how and why of the chart. The houses are arenas within which the first two operate.
A strong focus on the planet Pluto and the nodal axis is a methodology of this type of astrology. This class is for beginners as well as intermediates who want to learn evolutionary astrology as taught by Steven Forrest.
