Your natal chart is a picture of the sky at the moment of your birth, including the position of the sun, moon, planets and major asteroids. Through thousands of years of observation, our ancestors recognized that the position and patterns of the stars at one's birth held special significance for us, "as above, so below."  The subtle energies influenced human activities and individuals' basic psychological, spiritual and even physical makeup as well as giving keys to self understanding.

            A natal chart gives a person insight into that most basic sense of who they are and what they have come here to do in this lifetime. It gives insight into how one relates to others, family patterns, career, and the cycles of one's life.

            Transits and progressions are two methods used to understand what is currently happening in an individual's life, how best to respond to current and future challenges, determination of future cycles and patterns, and how one is growing and evolving.

            If a natal chart is a snapshot of the sky at the moment of birth, transits refer to the current position of the Sun and planets as viewed from the perspective of Earth. The position of the planets as they move through different star constellations has a specific meaning as this energy impacts one's own natal energy. Transiting planets exert influence from outside the self and are event oriented, i.e. things happen during certain transits. All of this activity concerns an individual's growth and development.

  Progressions determine how we are growing and evolving internally, how we are responding to the events of our lives.
